An independent team building the universal AirDrop

NearBeam is made by Paderf Tech, a cross-platform software publisher based in Casablanca. NearBeam is one of several products built by the team, alongside PaderfSuite, Privacy Chat, ElkaDoc, Hirrafi and a full ecosystem for the restaurant industry. Our goal with NearBeam is simple: file sharing and screen sharing that just work across every platform, with no cloud and no account.

Why we built NearBeam

Apple AirDrop only works between Apple devices. Google Quick Share is locked to Android. Microsoft has no real answer here. For anyone living with a mix of iPhone, Android, Mac and Windows — which is most people today — sharing a single photo or a folder between devices still means email, cloud uploads, WhatsApp compression, or a cable.

We started NearBeam because that gap is not going to close on its own. Every platform owner benefits from keeping users locked inside their ecosystem. The universal solution can only come from an independent team.

What NearBeam is built on

NearBeam is a native Flutter app that runs the same codebase on Android, iOS, iPadOS, macOS and Windows. Device discovery uses mDNS over your local Wi-Fi, so devices find each other automatically with no QR code and no IP to type. File transfers go through a custom protocol over WebSocket on your local network. Screen sharing uses WebRTC peer-to-peer with around 50 ms of latency on local Wi-Fi.

The native share integrations are first-class: a proper iOS Share Extension with App Group on iOS and iPadOS, an Android intent filter that accepts SEND and SEND_MULTIPLE for every file type, and native share menu integration on macOS and Windows. The result is that you can send a file from any system's Share button without even opening NearBeam on the sender side.

Our values

  • Local by default. Everything happens on your Wi-Fi network. Nothing is sent to our servers, because there are no servers.
  • No account, no friction. Install and use immediately. We don't want your email or your phone number.
  • No tracking. No analytics SDK in the app, no advertising network, no advertising IDs collected.
  • No ads, ever. The app is free. Future revenue comes from a Pro tier and team features, not from selling your attention.
  • Cross-platform first. Every feature we ship has to work on the four platforms before it ships at all.
